“Cloth diapering is making a comeback,” according to Time Magazine’s recent article Diapers Go Green. My response…if cloth diapers are being written about in Time Magazine then we definitely need to add an exclamation “Cloth diapering IS making a comeback!”
Author, Pamela Paul writes a wonderfully informative article telling the whole world what we’ve known for quite some time, “cloth diapers rock!” OK, well she didn’t exactly say they rock, but she did point out that cloth diapers have come a long, long way since the days when grandma used to put us in our plastic pants. The fact that cloth diapers have evolved is not commonly known.
Pamela also lists brands like Happy Heiny’s, bumGenius, Kissaluvs, and Fuzzi Bunz who are gaining popularity each and every day. Her prediction is that the cloth diaper industry is on the rise and has no where to go but up as greener living is on everyone’s mind. She also recognizes that
“Cloth converts are a mix of environmentalists, earth mamas, cost-conscious parents and those who argue that cloth diapering is healthier, resulting in fewer rashes and allergies.”
Thank you Pamela for your accurate portrayal of cloth diapers, the moms who make them, and the families who use them.
