Diapering trends are much like the fashion industry. New and exciting diapers come along, they’ve got the look, they’ve got the logo, they get moms all worked up. Proud mamas display their pictures, shopping begins, and quickly ends when the hot commodity sells out before you can complete your checkout.
Such is the case with the ever popular GoodMama brand.
Their luxurious fitteds have been all the rage in the online world where cloth diapering moms live. Get your hands on a GoodMama diaper and your little one is sitting pretty.
But imagine getting your hands on a dozen GoodMamas! The WishBox by GoodMama features 12 of these amazing coveted diapers for $365.00! You simply choose Boyish, Girly, Assorted, or Dressed Up, place your order, and in 6-8 weeks you receive your WishBox in the mail.
I am wondering, how many mamas think a dozen of the hottest selling diapers are worth $365.00? After all, they aren’t even waterproof.
I’d love to hear your comments on the WishBox and other diapering trends.

Wow these diapers are really cute!! However I couldn’t afford them at $30.42 per diaper and still needing a cover. Great for those who can though, they are adorable.

I have to admit that I thought the price was ridiculous…until I tried one. They are fantastic–by far the best I’ve ever tried. I guess I should have known they would be. Diapers don’t get this popular unless they really impress us mamas (and we can be hard to impress)
Because they are one-size, they will last you from birth (or near it) to potty-training, so it actually ends up being cheaper than buying three different sizes of diapers as your little one grows. The WAHM that makes them is awesome too–geez, I sound like a commercial– but they really are that good!

I am sure that they are really nice. I am just so frugal when it comes to shopping for clothes, diapers, etc. that I couldn’t help but imagine all the other things I could buy for that cost!

Think of it this way – it’s a one size! So, if you’re one of those people who doesn’t like to spend more than $12 or so per dipe, think of it as getting your small, medium, and large all at the same time and you’re still coming out ahead in the long run. Plus, goodmama.com’s fair labor practices are worth supporting. I have two of these diapers, and they are hands down the best fitteds we own.

I split a WB with two other Mamas (so we each got four). Considering we’re in love with GM’s, it was more than worth it. It’s a one size diaper which basically equals 11 dollars for small, medium and large. My two year old who still needs diapers at night can wear one (with a cover obviously) and so can our four month old. In the end, it’s less money and super soft goodness for their uber-sensitive bums. (Unfortunately, they got my skin and not their dad’s!)

The one-size is certainly appealing. I must admit, with all of the excitement and the huge following, I’d love to get my hands on a goodmama and test one out.

[...] of these adorable fitted diapers. One of our writers, Julia Clark, recently did an article on goodmamas’ Wishbox that offers parents the option to purchase 12 goodmamas without fighting the crowds. At the end [...]

I guess I’m in on the crazy because I bought a switch box, which is a wishbox with more pizazz. I love the one we have right now and my son wears it cover-less around the house with no leaks! He even wore it for five hours in his car seat with a wool cover and no leaks! I can’t say enough about this diaper and lets just say everyone on my block know s about me and my obsession with the Goodmama!

I have to say that I like the idea of the wishboxes but with all those cute prints to choose from I just can’t give in to the simplicity just yet

I bought a Wishbox after trying out both the OV and the print diapers, and I think the purchase was a great addition to our diapering stash~! A friend and I are also looking to split a Switchbox when she next stocks them
I’m of the opinion that no one needs to “justify” their purchases, and that for each person the “worth” of something will vary.
The price of course is relative, since we all have different budgets.
If this diaper works well for your children, is sold at a price you are comfortable with, makes you feel good about purchasing from a seller who believes in fair labour practices, and makes your diapering days a little more fun and easy, then it’s “worth” it!
We’ve had no leaks here, and it fits so well, like it’s made for dd, who is very hard to fit.
Not to mention how your little one feels, all fuzzy and well fitted into the diaper, and looking all kinds of cuddly and cute!

Just wanted to add that I go coverless at home. The fact that this diaper isn’t waterproof doesn’t matter when it’s so absorbent that you don’t need one! I just got my wishbox on Wedsnesday and what a fluffy day it was! The organic bamboo velour is so supple and not cheap! The price makes sense considering that some sized pocket diapers can go for much more and have similar absorbency. There are even sized fitteds that cost about the same. Why buy those when you have the beauty of at a one size diaper? Lastly, I did the math and and if I had 36 GMs to diaper all 3 kids (2 aren’t here yet!) I’d still be saving lots compared to sposies. So…long story short…it’s worth it!

Oh..and by the way…what nine layer organic bamboo velour diaper can you get for 11 dollars lol. It makes even more sense when you think of the materials used.

Well, we’ve had 4 goodmama prints since November that didn’t get used too terribly much, because they were being “saved” for special occasions. We just got our Wish Box last week, and yes, I’m guilty of posting shameless pictures on the cloth diapering forums. I half hoped I wouldn’t love them too terribly much, so I could walk away from the frenzy & just be happy with more readily available diapers. But Ohhhhh no! I love them even more than I’d expected!!! They are SO soft, fit SO well, & the company & mama behind them are SO wonderful!!!
As has been mentioned in other comments, the cost is VERY reasonable for a one size diaper that is super absorbent & fits super well! I mean, you might be able to barely get 2 sets of sized fitteds for the cost of 1 goodmama, but I haven’t seen any for that price (roughly $15 each + shipping) that fit as well or are nearly as absorbent. And never 3 sets (sm, med, lg) that would fit well & hold as much!
So now that the obsession has been truly fired up & fully ablaze, I’m hoping for a Swith Box of varying snap/serging colors!

Amazingly soft and absorbent, whats not to love about goodmamas?

I have a Wishbox on the way, but meanwhile, we are enjoying a few Goodmamas we got on fsot. My son is now 3 weeks old, and before he was born, I went into a buying frenzy of all sorts of name-brand and highly sought-after diapers–various fitteds, pockets, prefolds, aio’s…you name it, I probably have it! My DH is super-supportive and actually he was the one who volunteerily snappied on my DS’s first prefold at five days old believe it or not! But the defining moment of our cloth diapering career (of three weeks) came last week when my DH put on DS’s first goodmama, came out of the nursery, and said, “Man, those Goodmama’s run circles around all our other diapers!” Also, my son had a rash that cleared up almost instantly after beginning to use GM’s and he is able to sleep longer during his naps because he stays drier–he is already a super-soaker! Needless to say, we will be purging our stash of almost all other diapers once our Wishbox arrives (and most shockingly–this will be with DH’s permission….and yes, he does know how much they cost!)

Looks like they are still popular! I prefer 1-size diapers that include a PUL cover which can run from $14 – $25. I thought $25 was expensive, considering that each diaper will have wear and tear and may not last through 3 years for each child.
